Faculty from Our University Achieve Outstanding Results in the First "National Smart Teaching Case Competition for University Teachers in Electronic Information Majors"
The first "National Smart Teaching Case Competition for University Teachers in Electronic Information Majors" was held on December 28, 2024, at Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications. Nine faculty members from the School of Electronic Information Engineering at our university represented their respective teams in this competition, which attracted a total of 457 teams from universities across the country. After intense competition, the faculty teams from the School of Electronic Information Engineering stood out among the 457 participating teams, winning five national first prizes, four second prizes, and one excellent organization award.
The National Smart Teaching Case Competition for University Teachers in Electronic Information Majors, themed "Innovating Smart Teaching, Enhancing Digital Literacy," aims to build a "power engine" for the new pattern of educational modernization development. It integrates artificial intelligence technology into the entire teaching process, promoting higher quality and more innovative development, thereby providing strong support for cultivating high-quality talents that meet the demands of the new era.
This year's competition was jointly organized by the China Education Society of Electronics, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, and the Virtual Teaching and Research Office for Electronic Information Majors under the Ministry of Education. It was hosted by Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications and co-organized by Beijing Haopu Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. The competition was divided into five tracks, including: Smart Teaching Environment Construction Cases, Smart Teaching Curriculum Construction Cases, Digital Textbook and Sustainable Construction Cases, Smart Teaching Methodology Construction Cases, and Electronic Information+. Faculty from the School of Electronic Information Engineering at our university overcame numerous challenges and after intense competition in the 'Report Evaluation' and 'Case Presentation' segments ultimately achieved excellent results.
In recent years, the School of Electronic Information Engineering has placed great emphasis on the development of smart teaching, actively encouraging and supporting related teaching faculty to use competitions to promote teaching and reform, and continuously engaging in communication and learning with universities nationwide. The outstanding achievements in this smart teaching case competition fully demonstrate the rich innovative results of smart teaching by the faculty, providing a positive impetus for the university's talent cultivation and the construction of “Double World-Class” disciplines.
