Academician Zhang Hongke won the Third National Innovation Award

   May 30, 2023 is the seventh "National Science and Technology Workers' Day", the third national innovation award commendation conference was held in Beijing. According to the Decision of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, China Association for Science and Technology, Ministry of Science and Technology, SASAC of the State Council on Recognizing the Winners of the Third National Innovation Award, 7 teams were awarded the medal of the Third National Innovation Award, 26 comrades were awarded the Medal of the Third National Innovation Award, and 251 comrades were awarded the Certificate of the Third National Innovation Award. Academician Zhang Hongke of our institute was awarded the national innovation and pioneer medal.
  The award was jointly established by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, the Chinese Association for Science and Technology, the Ministry of Science and Technology and the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council in 2017, and the selection and awarding cycle is three years. This award aims to further study and implement the spirit of the 20th Party Congress and further commend individuals and collectives who have made outstanding contributions in the field of science and technology innovation related to the frontier of world science and technology, the main battlefield of economy, the major needs of the country, and people's life and health and social services.
  Brief introduction of the award winners:
   Zhang Hongke, male, Han nationality, born in September 1957, is a member of the Chinese Communist Party. He is currently the director of the National Engineering Center for Mobile Private Networks of Beijing Jiaotong University, a professor and an elected member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering in 2021.
   He has long been engaged in the theory and engineering technology research of private communication network, and is the pioneer of identification network technology in China. He has created key technologies such as functional structure and resolution mapping of marking networks, which effectively solved the problems of high mobile support and high reliable transmission of networks in complex scenarios such as high-speed rail; presided over the development of special network equipment and systems, which have become the core equipment of national high-speed train special networks and other special networks, and made important contributions to solve the urgent needs of national and railroad industry special network projects. He has twice served as the chief scientist of the National 973 Project, won two National Technical Invention Second Prizes as the first completer, and led the team to be selected as one of the first Huang Danian-style teacher teams by the Ministry of Education.
