Beijing Jiaotong University 2021 International Young Scholars "Knowing and Doing" Forum, the college of Electronic Information Engineering Sub-forum was successfully held

On the afternoon of July 7, 2021, Beijing Jiaotong University International Young Scholars "Knowing and Doing" Forum , the college of Electronic Information Engineering Sub-forum was successfully held.The forum invited young scholars from home and abroad to share their academic achievements online. Seven international young scholars from the University of Manchester (UK), Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (US), National University of Civil Aviation (France), Tsinghua University and other famous universities at home and abroad made academic presentations. Zhao Lan,the Secretary of the Party Committee of the college ,Zhou Huachun, the Vice President of the college, the head of the institute and more than 60 representatives of teachers and students attended the sub-forum and interacted with the scholars.

The forum officially started at 14:00 pm. First of all, Secretary Zhao LAN delivered a welcom speech to all the young scholars ,pointing out that this year is the opening year of the 14th Five-Year Plan. To get off to a good start, talent is the key to innovation. The forum for Young Scholars aimed to seek talents from all over the world and draw a blueprint together with talents from all over the world. At the same time, he encouraged the teachers and students to communicate with the young scholars actively.

At the conference, scholars shared their research results and future prospects in their respective research fields. The presentations covered a wide range of areas including the wireless communications, semiconductor materials preparation, mobile edge computing, digital signal processing,silicon photonics and non-linear optics, underwater wireless optical communication systems and sensor networks,and many other areas. Teachers and students also had heated discussion and exchange with the young scholars on the relevant contents of the report.

The successful holding of this sub-forum provided an opportunity for teachers and students of the college to have academic exchanges with many outstanding young scholars from home and abroad, and set up a good platform for academic exchanges, collision of ideas and promotion of understanding. We would also like to take this opportunity to warmly welcome all the young talents to join and create a better future for Beijing Jiaotong University together.
