The college of Electronic Information Engineering held a meeting to launch the professional construction of national first-class undergraduate majors in electronic science and technology

On the afternoon of June 30, 2021, the college of Electronic Information Engineering held a kick-off meeting on the construction of national first-class undergraduate majors in Electronic Science and Technology in Room 113 South of the Ninth Teaching Building.

A total of five people attended the meeting,including Professor Tao Dan, the Vice President of Teaching and Learning of the College, Professor Wang Junhong, the academic leader of Electronic Science and Technology, Professor Li Yujian, the principal of Electronic Science and Technology, and Deng Tao and Li Linan, the deputy directors of the Department of Electronics,

First of all, Tao Dan introduced the construction and cultivation direction of first-class majors in the college, sorted out the past achievements of electronic science and technology majors in the construction of curriculum and teaching materials as well as undergraduate personnel training, and also pointed out the shortcomings of the current professional construction and the direction of efforts.

Secondly, they discussed and decided to concentrate on the construction of two core courses of the major every year, investing more in the construction of MOOC courses and teaching materials based on the existing course construction.In addition,they also stated the importance of exploring new growth points in industry-study-research talent training mode and guiding high-level discipline competitions

Finally, in response to the shortage of professional teacher backup, they had an extensive exchange of views to seek for some teachers with relevant professional background to participate in the professional development work.
